Irritation In Vagina, Whiteheads, Bumps On Labia Majora, Have Soreness. What Can Be Done?
Hi, last thursday i had a very irritating feeling around the opening of my vagina. So later that night i took a shower and washed down there with body wash. that friday there we're whitehead bumps in my labia major and both sides, on my left side there were about 5 close to my inner thigh and a few right at the opening of my vagina. I did a hot compress for thirty minutes and they drained out instantly. Now i have been dealing with these open sore. I have been washing with a ph balanced feminine wash, patting it dry and applying vaseline on the sore so maybe the skin can recover. Seems like its been working for the open sores. But now the inside of my labia menora is red and it seems a little cracked and it burns whenever i discharge and whenever i pee. is there any home remedies i can try before i visit a doctor because i have no insurance.
I highly recommend going to a OBgyn. That being said, do you wax/ shave the area? From your description, it could be either folliculitis (caused by hair removal), candidiasis or trichomonal vaginitis (sexually transmitted) . All three need different types of medicated vaginal ointments. The treatment for folliculitis is available over the counter in most countries - muciprocin ointment. Please see an Obgyn, if it is an STD, your partner would need treatment too.
