Hello,

You are suffering from folliculitis of the scalp and its become chronic. You should keep scalp clean. Gently wash the infected skin twice a day with antibacterial soap or ketoconazole shampoo. This shampoo will cleanse the scalp and follicles to make way for healthy hair regrowth and to decrease the chances of fungal infections. Always use a clean washcloth or towel each time after shampoo. Do not share your towels or washcloths. Wash your clothes, towel, washcloth in hot water frequently. Use hot, soapy water to wash these items. And wash all clothing's that has touched the affected area.

Since you are suffering due to folliculitis since 6 months you can take a course of antifungal (fluconazole) orally. Scalp folliculitis can also be treated naturally. Hot compress is effective. Add a little salt to the water. Aloe vera gel when applied relieves itchiness, you can apply two or three times daily and then rinse. Turmeric, neem and tea tree oil is equally effective. Do not touch or scratch. Stay away from food or anything that may trigger the symptoms. Avoid addictions if any.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
