Does Using Fluocinolone Acetonide Before Biopsy Alter The Results?

Question is Dr. gave me Fluocinlone Acetonide Topical Solution 01. so can I use this before having the biopsy do not want the results changed. Yes or No, 150, 45 years old, lot of hair and no air loss ever although I shed a little after brushing hair. Now I have a five inch loss of hair from my temple to the crown of my head 3 inch to five inches. Its horrible......I wrote something already did you not receive it? I went to my regular hair salon of two years for a hair color and cut. after the color which was stinging, the hair dresser combed it so hard it hurt and all my hair fell out on the spot with a bundle of my hair on the comb. I was terrified but didn t bother to look at the scalp write away. I saw a dermatolgist and primary Dr. Said I could have a biopsy.

Hi,

Fluocinolone acetonide is a topical steroid which is administered to treat skin allergies. Having a biopsy while on this medication may alter the result if you are having allergy-like skin condition. This is because the medication will reduce inflammation in the area. It is better to withhold the medication for a few days before the biopsy.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
