Irregular Bowel Movements, Gassy, Mild Lower Abdominal Pain. Endoscopy Suggested Gastric Erosion. Suggestions?
My father aged 70 is having irregular bowel movement and has problem of gas. Currently he is suffering from lower abdomen continuous mild pain. He is currently taking pentocid dsr and softovac sf. Endoscopy suggested gastric erosion and nothing abnormal is found in colonoscopy and ultrasongraphy.

Softovac is a laxative hence may cause loose motion or softening of stool.
colonoscopy , ultrasonography are normal so need not to worry about lower abdomen , pain in lower abdomen may be due to bowel movement due to softovac .
This is a natural process , not a disease.
About endoscopy there is erosion in gastric surface , so for this you may contact a physician and get his opinion and this gastritis will cure within 3-6 months ( complete cure) .
Avoidance is very necessary as,
fried food,
stress,
tension,
worries ,
alcohol,
smoking ,
sweets,
coffee & tea ( in excess).
Pentocid is good ,but it provide symptomatic relief, so curative treatment is necessary.
