Infant Having A Skin Rash On The Neck, Stomach And Chest. Using Desitin. Need Further Medication

I have a 15 month old grandson that is broke out with a skin rash. It is in his hair, neck stomach, chest under his arms, and on his back. The only place he isn't broke out is his feet. He has had no fever, hasn't been outside or hasn't eaten anything out of the norm. I have been treating it with desitin because it seems like that is the only thing that takes the itch away. Any suggestions?

Hi,

Thank you for your query.

It is very difficult to comment on the cause of the rash without a clinical examination. I suggest that you consult your doctor who shall examine your grandson and guide you accordingly. While examining the doctor will need to know:
1. Duration of rash
2. Type of rash.

I hope I have answered your query to your satisfaction.

Wishing your grandson an early recovery.
