How Can Mouth Rashes With Slight Eczema Be Treated?

Hello, our 18 month old is showing a severe rash around his mouth. He had a tooth appear 2 nights ago and has been licking his lips alot. We feel it might be due to his saliva. He has never shown signs of eczema in the past. What could we apply from over the counter to help him? Thanks

Hi,

You can use emollients such as petroleum jelly three times a day. You also need to look for either there rashes present on other parts of the body or not.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ammara Kaleem, Pediatrician
