Infant Has Constipation. Soy Formula Ismoil, Nan Pelargon. Is He Getting Used To Formulae?

Hi
My baby is 3months old, he has been on a Soy formula-Isomil,which made him constipated. His Dr recommended Nan Perlargon which I tried for a week-it caused him to throw up all the time but he had normal poo for a few days then he started pooing every 3\4 hours a day. I then changed formula again to S26 Gold. He is not spitting up anymore but the pooing still continues but now after every feed, and it also has mucus in it. He also has a post nasal drip-i am giving him saline drops.

I am not sure if I should take him back to the Dr or if I should wait for him to get use to the formula-he has been on it for 3days. The pharmist gave me a proboitic for the pooing.

Thanks
Chantel

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, being a small kid it always better to take him to the doctor, for advise.
I to my patients with motions prescribe carminative and antispasmodic drops. probiotics, and if necessory, furazolidone.
If breast feeding mother should avoid taking spices, junk foods, and oily foods. Thank you.
