The first time I noticed this pain was about 2 months ago. Whatever I ate or drank (excluding water) would cause horrible cramp like/acidic pain just under my right rib. This continued for a couple of weeks. The pain has now moved to my lower abdomen on the left and right side just above my hip bones. I also get pain in my oesophagus right under my trachea , almost as if some food is stuck there. I had to go to my doctor 2 weeks ago as my right knee had randomly swollen. I was also experiencing pain in the last three toes on both my feet (kind of like they were bruised) and stiff painful ankles. Whilst there I mentioned the stomach pains and he gave me Omeprazole 20mg capsules 1d. I have been taking these since then but they aren t making much of a difference to the pain. The doctor did blood tests and the only thing that showed up was in my bone profile(?) which showed arthritis - I am only 27 and have never suffered with painful joints before so I find it very odd that I would have arthritis. My knee is still swollen and my left knee is now starting to show signs of inflammation. I am generally feeling under the weather and have a random rash all around my right wrist (which is also starting to feel stiff and painful) - just looks red and bumpy and is a bit itchy. I suffer slight acne because I have PCOS but I have recently been coming out in quite a few large painful boil like spots. My doctor is on holiday until Thursday - they have given me a telephone slot with him. I am going to ask him to do further investigations as I am not happy with the original diagnosis, but in the meantime does anyone have any suggestions as to what might be happening to me.
