How To Treat Vaginal Brown And Pink Discharge With Slight Cramps?

Okay so I have been breastfeeding for 9 months on no contraception just recently bub has started having only formula during the night therefore I am only breastfeeding from about 5 or 6 am till about 8pm. I went to the toilet the other day and wiped to find brown silky discharge but not lots just kind of strings of it and not much at all and a soft pink kind of tthicker discharge as well which is on most wipes. During and before all this I ve had a slight uncomfortable not quite cramp but more of an ache down in my uterus and ovarie kind of area, today I checked my cervix and it s rather high and I have no idea how to tell if it open or closed and I m not sure about the firmness of it. What is going on or what should I do?

Dear member,
Thanks for writing to healthcare magic.
irregularities in menstrual cycles are common after the Delivery especially when you are feeding.
If you are not sexually active then no need to worry. You may be getting your period.
Thanks
