Hi, I am writing on behalf of my 23 yr old daughter, Sarah. She has had periods, nearly non stop over the past 8 years. Her GP has trialled her on many oral contraceptives, to no avail. So, recently my daughter had the uterine implant Merina? (spelling), with no analgesia except 2 panadol. She has not had any children, and this is now causing her discomfort still nearly 2 months later, with still bleeding.. The reason for contraception is not only to to have sex, but mainly to stop the continual menstruation. Poor girl, has had major surgery re scoliosis, and has many rod implants through most of her spine, plus a knee tibial transfer operation. What do you recommend to control her continual menstruation? Sarah is approximately 5ft 8in, weighs about 60kg. Use to be quite heavier years ago during adolescence. Hope you can give us some advice, thank you, Janice
