Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello

The infection in the joint after a surgery can cause the joint to decay and any implant inside needs a removal. Regular broad spectrum antibiotics are needed to control the infection.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Praveen Tayal, Orthopedic Surgeon
