How To Prevent Recurrence Of Brain Tumor?

My 64 year old brother had a brain tumor removed on Monday. The tumor was the size of an apple ...according to the surgeon it was 100 per cent removed...today we ,earned that it was gliodoblastic ...excuse spelling...and will more than likely come back...chemo and radiation are on the horizon...my brother has had epilepsy since his mid twenties...what is your gut about his prognosis?

hello
recurrence of tumor GLIOBLASTOMA MULTIFORME is common ,even after ?100% removal .
BUT recurrence rate is significantly reduced after SURGERY+CHEMOTHERAPY + RADIOTHERAPY .
continue WITH regular treatment & follow up .
few more immunohistochemistry tests are available to predict possibilty of recurrence , but till date all these are for academic purposes .
so go with regular standard treatment protocols .
repeat surgery for recurrence is only reserved for very few patients
