How To Heal Injury Mediated Large Lump Of Under The Skin,along The Anterior/medial Aspect Of Tibia?
Two weeks ago I bruised the entire anterior aspect of my lower leg, right along the tibia. the bruise was large and dark in colour. It didn't hurt a lot, and the bruising is almost gone. But now there is an extremely hard (hard as bone it feels) and large lump of something sitting under my skin, along the anterior/medial aspect of my tibia. Is this a collection of blood? Will it go away?

The injury to the tibia can result in bleeding at that site.
Internal injury causes bleeding and accumulation of blood in internal tissues.Accumulation of blood is called hematoma.
Hematoma is usually not painful and externally causes bruising (bluish discoloration of skin).
The accumulated blood is reabsorbed over a period of time.
However, at times the reabsorption may be accompanied by formation of granulation tissue.
Granulation tissue is formed due to chronic inflammation sand healing process.
If it is very debilitating, you can consult your orthopedician for clinical examination and relevant investigations.
