Hello ma'am and welcome.

Do not worry about this, even if your placenta is not in a normal position it will not harm your baby in anyway. The only changes required will be the approach to delivery of the child. I cannot predict more than this as there are various degrees and positions of the placenta depending on which the approach is chosen. As of now, bed rest in mandatory as we do not want the placenta to complete obstruct the cervical opening, making vaginal delivery impossible. We cannot predict whether or not your placenta will return to its normal position, as all we are hoping for right now is that it does not shift to a position which will make things more difficult for delivery. Please follow your doctors instructions.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
