How To Clear Choking Of Throat And Chest Pain While Swallowing?

I swallowed a sleeping pill it s a gel tab and i think it went down the wrong pipe. When I was taking a drink of water the pill went down my throat before I was able to swallow and now it feels like it s still in my throat my chest hurts and hurts to swallow somewhat. What should I do

The pain is likely due to the inflammation of the throat where the tablet may have been.

It can take a few days to resolve completely.

The use of anti inflammatory pain killers such as ibuprofen/cataflam or naproxen may help.
Also avoid any foods that may aggravate the area- eg hard, spicy or hot foods.
