Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Smoking can cause contraceptive failure. Smoking induced enzymes metabolising the contraceptives and thus they are used up too early and can result in contraceptive failure. However it is seen in chronic smokers and occasional smoking doesn’t do much harm. You can do a urine pregnancy test for reassurance.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
