My mother is 95 and has dementia. She has stopped eating solids and has been put on ensure plus, 3 per day.She will eat wheetabix for breakfast. Now she is disorientated, confused, can't sleep. She is on amlodipine 10mg morning, haloperidol 0.5mg evening and pain killers when she asks (not that often) for her joint pain. The doctor has tried increasing the haloderidol but it takes her legs away and she is unable to walk without falling. I'm her son aged 65. She has carers in 4 times a day, a solicitor has power of atterny over her affairs. She still has enough memory to tell him that she does not want to go into a care home. Social services are going to assess her next Tuesday. Is there anything I should be asking.
