How Can I Get Rid Of Irregular Periods ?

Hi, I am a 26 yr old married woman and have a problem with my periods. I sometimes miss a month, go before the correct time or 2 weeks later. I saw a gynecologist sometime last year, gave me pills and said there is something he cant tell what it is, but the pills did not work. Last month, I again had the most painfull cramp in my womb , clinics closed, so i went to a chemist and they gave me pills and had my periods a week later and for the first time had clean, non smelly, not heavy periods. However, they lasted 2 more days than the usual, yet with small portions. could i have any thing wrong?

Hi,

Welcome to HCM.
You need to do an ultrasound study to check for any uterine or ovarian pathology. You may also need to do thyroid function tests to see if there is any pathology of thyroid, which can also lead to irregular periods.
According to the investigation findings treatment will have to be planned.
Avoid over the counter medications.

Hi
Welcome to HealthcareMagic.
irregular periods , cramps during menstruation should be evaluated thoroughly.I advise you to visit your gynecologist and get evaluated again. There could be an underlying disease like fibroid or PCOD. you need to have hormone pills depending on your condition regularize your periods and decrease the symptoms
Take care
