Hit Back With A Ball. Can I Let Him Play In A Hot Place Now?

Son (17) was hit in the back with an 85 mph fast ball at baseball game yesterday. Took him to ER but nothing broken. Concerned because you hear about kids getting hit hard, shaking it off they dying a few days later when they are at practice. He is going to a big showcase in AZ where its going to b really hot and I m just a little worried, you know MOM... Thinking about blood clots...

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Thanks for writing to health care magic.

Do not worry.

If it is hot there give him extra fluids.
May be a hat may help.

If the doctor who has examined is saying nothing wrong with him do not worry. Let him play and enjoy the game.

Hope this helps.
Take care.
