History Of Psoriasis. Have Apnea And Depression. Taking Paxil And Trazadone. Swollen Face, Red Rash
Hi Dr. Grief:
I am a 61 year old woman who has had psoraisis since 17 years of age. I also have severe apnea and depression. I am on paxil 40 mg., trazadone 150 mg. and just starting taking adderall because I have trouble getting up in the morning. The adderall was working just great -- but now my face is swollen and has a red rash on it. My doctor told me to see a dermotologist because she said adderall would not cause a rash. Could you please give me some direction.

Red rash on face and swelling indicates angioedema.
This is usually related to drug reaction or due to an allergic reaction.
Try to notice if you have changed any diet or any contact with any unusual substance.
Take some anti histamine.
Meet a dermatologist for final diagnosis.
