Hi, I am 28 years old male from India. I am facing headache 3-4 times a week, which starts from back of skull and gradually cover the entire head in 3 hours. When the headache is on peek, i felt breathless , sweating and not able to walk. I am facing this problem for 2 years now. I usually takes a Saridon to get relief, it works for the day but after a couple of days same story. Now i am frustrated with this & afraid to consult a doctor.

Neurologist 's  Response
Hi,

Thank you for posting your query.

Your symptoms are suggestive of chronic migraine. There are excellent treatments available for treating this, and taking saridon on is not the solution.

You should take preventive medications such as divalproex, Topiramate, or flunarizine. These would prevent the recurrence of headaches.

You should not be afraid of consulting a doctor, as a doctor is there to help you with your illness, so, please consult a neurologist in your area for treatment.

I hope it helps. Please get back if you have any more queries.

Best wishes,
Dr Sudhir Kumar MD DM (Neurology)
