Infection leads to obstruction in the system. In human body after stomach there is long intestine which ends at the anal opening. In any part of this system if there is infection sever in nature can lead to blockage of the system resulting in pain and vomiting.Obstruction if complete it needs urgent medical treatment and hospitalization,I wonder if your understanding is correct, you might have been hospitalized and need investigation like X-ray and ultrasound to confirm and depending upon the severity further treatment can be planned.
