Having Pain In Bladder. Took Antibiotics And Had Gastric Infection. Feels Cramps After Peeing. Any Thoughts?
I have pain in my bladder right at the end of peeing. I don t have a bladder infection for sure. I ve been to the clinic twice in the last 4 days. I came back from Africa with a case of food poisoning and my gut was extremely cramped. The pain was horrible. I got antibiotics in case I had some kind of gastric infection. I m still kind of crampy but not that bad, however, now my bladder almost feels cramped when I finish peeing. Any thoughts?
Since you have had an episode of food poisoning, some residual cramping sensation may be there in the bowels. Since you also feel cramping sensation in the bladder, it is possible that there could be an infection or possible bladder stone, especially if blood also present in urine.
Kindly drink 2-3 litres of water daily. Eat plenty of fresh fruits and green leafy vegetables.
Do get urine tested and also a Urologist consult if the pain does not go away in a week. You may need an X-ray and ultrasound to confirm if stone is present.
Wishing speedy recovery.
