Having Bad Cough With White/yellow Mucus And Feel Itchy In The Lungs. Smoker.
I have really bad cough and my lungs are itchy and I keep coughing up mucus, I've been smoking for 1.5 years and I cough up this white/yellow mucus every 3-5 minutes. The cough is so violent and it hurts and very loud, I can hear the mucus in my lungs when I breath and I can't breathe in fully. I'm only 16 and my dad doesn't pay for health insurance, help?
Since your symptoms seem to be prominent and distressing, it is important that you seek medical attention. You will need a physical examination and certain investigations like a chest X-ray, peak flowmetry, etc. in order to pin point the diagnosis. There are effective treatment options available to treat your problem, so please see a doctor at the earliest. I'm sure the cost of seeing a doctor for treatment will be lesser than the money you would've spent on smoking in the last 1 1/2 years. And obviously, cessation of smoking is extremely important for the betterment of your health condition.
Wish you all the best.
