Have Slight Discharge Foe Sometime. Had Been On Birth Control Pill Earlier For A Year. What To Do?

I wasn't on birth control for a year. (TTC) Then my Fiance & I decided to take a break as it was very stressful. I started on the nuvaring the 1st of this month which was 7 days before my period was due. (up until getting the nuvaring I was having unprotected sex) The first 2-3 weeks after getting the birth control I was VERY emotional. Crying about everything! I'm planning on keeping the nuvaring in for the whole 4 weeks without having a period. Today is the 30th & since the 29th I been having VERY light pink mixed with clear discharge only when I use the bathroom to wipe. I'm paranoid that there is a chance I was pregnant without knowing when I put the nuvaring in. Is this a possibility? Or is this a cause from the birth control? Been having REALLY bad headaches lately too! Nausea sometimes. Oh & after 2 weeks of having it I took it out before intercourse & kept it out for about 2hours 30mins.

Hi,
Thanks for the query.

The possibility of pregnancy is cannot be excluded as in the last month you started the nuvaring after your ovulation period.
And also you once had intercourse without the ring.
So you once go for urine or preferably blood test for pregnancy to rule out that possibility.
If the test comes negative, the symptoms you are having could be due to the side effects of the nuvaring.
You can go for symptomatic treatment for it.
