Have Mild Cramps. Taking Nora-Be. Will My Period Start?

I am 40 years old and just began taking Nora-Be yesterday. I have not been on any birth control in years and am not pregnant. I began the pill as a "quick start" and my period is would normally be due to tomorrow. I'm having some mild cramping. I am curious if my period will start at all or will it be shorter than normal?

Hi,
It is more likely that you may have a shorter period; the fact that you have started the medication too late in the cycle may not be able to arrest the period. Your symptoms suggest an impending period. Please wait for your cycle and if you find any disturbance, see a gynecologist for an opinion. Ideally, the medication should be started on the first day of your cycle. Please take additional precautions until you have been on the pill for at least one month. Hope you find this information useful. Take care.
