Have Mid Cycle Spotting. Chances Of Pregnancy?

I'm on birth control pills, experienced spotting mid-cycle spotting (14th day after my last period) - could the pills had failed and I've had breakthrough ovulation? Had intercourse on the 17th day and condom broke..could I be at risk of pregnancy? I've been taking pills quite regularly except for 1 late pill taken 1hr late on day 11. Should I still get emergency contraceptive while on pills?

Hi,
Thanks for writing to us.
The mid cycle spotting may be because of pills also.
The chances of pregnancy in your case are very less because you are taking pills regularly and when you missed the pill had it within an hour.
In my opinion you should not take emergency pills.
You should consult a gynaecologist if you missed your period.
Good luck.
Take care.
