hello doctor,

I am 27 year old women, got married one half year before, not yet conceived, getting regular periods, but for the last two months got very little amount of period (one day), only spots..went to doctor, she prescribed benforce-m and folic acid tablet and she scanned me and told no problem in uterus. what is the use of the benforce -m tablet? please explain? shall i continue the tablet for one month?

Thanks for query,
Benforce -m contains benfothiamine 75mg and metformin 500mg,
this drug is mainly used as antidiabetic agent and also used for treatment of polycystic ovarian disease which from your symptoms likely is the reason for start of this medicine.You should in my opinion continue the drug as prescribed and should only stop after consulting your gynaecologist.
