Have Gonadal Dysgenesis. Taking Hormone Replacement Treatment. Endocrinologist Or Gynecologist Required?

I don t have any indication of turners syndrome, but a few of my x chromosome have been altered. I began puberty pretty early, but never continued after I turned 11. I found out that I had gonadel dysgenesis, after many tests when I was 14. Since then I ve been on the hormone replacement treatment, so I wouldn t develop osteoporosis , to undergo the whole puberty thing, and to also help prevent hot flashes. When I turned 20 I couldn t afford the treatment any longer. So far, I ve been off my medication for 2 months. If I were to begin treatment again, Do I see an endocrinologist or a gynecologist . Is it possible to continue treatment after being off of it for a long period of time?

Hi,
Thanks for the query.
Yes, you can restart the treatment now.
That can prevent further complications.
If you previously consulted endocrinologist, you can contact him again.
If not you can also go to a gynecologist.
You better avoid stopping the medicines.
At the same time you have to be careful about the side effects also.
Take care.
