Have an annual stress test. History of PVC. Why is it starting again?

Have a history of PVC s (over 10 years). Had all the checkups and have an annual stress test (last one this past April). Was told nothing to worry about. PVC s started up again, sometimes in a big way, about a week ago (esp. after eating). I eat at the wrong times (late at night) and sometimes in the wrong place (lying down in bed-watching TV). I contacted my DR. and have started using an anti-acid ( as I feel sort of a burp upper stomach and know when the PVC s are back). Now, it appears, I have developed anxiety with it, esp. after taking my pulse and feeling the PVC s. Now I m obsessed with it to a point I can t go a couple of hours without checking to see if the PVC s are still there, esp. after eating. My next step should be? Also, quite a few things coming up that I m really excited about........................thanks...............Bob

Hello,

Thanks for writing in.

first of all relax! take a deep breath.

PVC is something that can happen to anybody of any age. There are a number of reasons for PVC some of them include use of alcohol, drugs, excess in calcium, potassium and magnesium deficiency,Thyroid, Ischemia and a lot more. One of the very important one is lack of sleep, too much stress.

you are your best analyst and observer.A change in your lifestyle, eating habits, and proper sleep is the best medication for PVC and in return decrease in the level of anxiety.

Make a routine time table and schedule it according to your everyday life. Try to follow it strictly. It is very clear that the major problem lies in your eating habit other wise your doctor would have prescribed you magnesium potassium supplements or electrolytes replacement about which you haven't mentioned here.

Having a proper diet like including a lot of vegetables ,fruits, less calorie food would also increase your chances of having less/no heart attacks, or any other excess nutritional values.

Meditation for 5-10 minutes everyday would help you to relax in
a major way. This would make your pulse normal as well.

Hope these suggestions help you.

Stay Healthy!
