Have PCOS. Nausea, Diarrhea, Constipation, Heartburn. Was On Contraception. Could I Be Pregnant?
Hi. I have pcos and have been on the pill recently. I have a 1 year old son and had no trouble concieving him. I have stopped taking the pill now and have been sexually active for over a month now without any contraception. For the past few weeks I have been having similar symptoms of pregnancy. At first I was feeling very nauseous which was accompanied with diarrhoea at first and then constipation. Then I had pains in my lower abdomen with lower back pain. Now I feep slight movement in my stomach when I lie down. As if theres a baby inside me. I also have been experiencing heartburn. Iv done over 10 home pregnancy tests but they are all negative. Could I still be pregnant. I do not know when my next period is as I dont have them every month since my baby was born last year.
Hello, I would be happy to help you with your question.
Given your diagnosis of PCOS, and the negative pregnancy tests, then the most likely explanation is that these are related to your cycle. The pill effectively suppressed cycle related symptoms, and now they are more apparent. If you were pregnant, AND you were having all of these symptoms, then the test should be positive - so I doubt you are pregnant. Talk to your doctor about treatment for PCOS in women who do not ovulate who are trying to get pregnant.
I hope that this helps and good luck!
