Have IUD, No Periods Since April. Numbness And Prickly Sensation From Rib Cage Down Mid Thigh Till Knee. Pinched Nerve Or Infection?
Hello,
The other night I had sex in a hot tub. The next night I experienced a pain in my left side. An overy type cramping/sharp pain.I have an IUD and have not had a period or period symptoms since April. Since this pain the other night I am experiencing a numbness and almost prickly sensation on my left side starting from under my rib cage and down to my mid thigh. I thought I would give it a couple days to resolve but the numbness and prickly sensation has spread to my back and down to my knee. I am not sure if it is a pinched nerve or possible infection? Advil takes the cramping away, but not the prickly numbness of the skin. There is no rash or any visable indicators on the skin. Any thoughts?

Numbness & Tingling sensation originating in the lower back and going down below the knees always suggests a spinal disc problem causing pressure over the exiting nerve roots.
An MRI scan is necessary to establish the diagnosis.
I Suggest you to consult an orthopedic surgeon for further evaluation and management.
