Has Anyone Come Out Of A Vegetative Condition/state ?

Someone had a stroke (a blood clot went to the brain) that caused swelling of the brain which left the person in a vegetative state and also paralyzed on one side

It is quite rare, but is sometimes seen after traumatic brain injury. With a stroke, if the swelling has abated and there is no improvement, it is unlikely the patient will recover meaningful functioning.
