Hair Fall, Side Effects Of Minoxidil Lotion 7.5 Percent And Finax Tablet

Hi Just some 10 days back I consulted a dematologist for my hair loss . He has suggested minioxidil lotion 7.5 percent and finax tablet . But I searched on net and found that finax has side effects specially realted to sexual disorders . Should I use finax or not are these disorders permamnent or they just happen over the period I take medicine.

Hi,
Thanks for writing in.
It is true that Finax ( which contains Finasteride) causes sexual side effects like impotence, decreased libido, decreased volume of ejaculate and an ejaculation disorder. Importantly, the decreased libido can continue even when you discontinue the drug. So I would suggest that you speak with your physician and assess the risk benefit ratio. The decision to take the drug would entirely be yours.
Hope this helps.
Regards
