Hi dear,
Bowel movement through vaginal route after hysterectomy indicates that a connection as developed between bowel and vagina, most probably during operation, whic is not normal. As she is 84 years, i really cant say whether she can withstand a second surgery for the closure of this tract, wich will definately improve her present condition. In my view, go back to her operating doctor wo will be able to tell you te best option.
All the best

General & Family Physician Dr. Michelle Gibson James's  Response
Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic

The fact that she is experiencing bowel movements via the vagina means that a fistula was likely created between these two tracts.

This means a connection between the intestines and the reproductive organs.

This would have to be corrected surgically.

You should consider speaking to her surgeon regarding this complication.

I hope this helps
