Had Fallopian Tubes And Ovary Removed. Now Hot Flashes, Heavy Periods. Should Remaining Ovary Be Removed?
Hi Dr. Grief, A year ago I had both my Fallopian tubes and right ovary removed, for six months I felt great! Suddenly I started getting hot flashes went to my doctor did blood work and the results were Menopause. I then started getting very heavy periods for over 3 weeks at a time. My left ovary now hurts and honestly cannot del with the heavy periods. Should I have my left ovary removed. My doctor suggested doing a procedure that burns the living of the uterus?
Hi, Thank you for choosing Healthcaremagic. Yes its a better option to go for ENDOMETRIAL ABLATION, i.e. buring of endometrial lining. But, before that you need to be investigated for the reason for heavy periods i.e. some blood investigations including thyroid function test and endometrial biopsy. I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you. In case of any doubt, I will be available for follow-ups. If you like my answers kindly rate it, and write a review as well.
