Had A Subarachnoid Hemorrhage. Have Bad Headaches Since The Bleed. Report Shows Encephalomalacia Left Caudate Head. Problem?

I had a subarachnoid hemorrhage May 2012, a pretty significant one. I have been having really bad headaches since the bleed. I have been under a doctor's care continually & recently had another CT Brain w/o contrast & CTA. The report from the CT Brain w/o contrast had a sentence that concerned me. "Encephalomalacia left
caudate head." Could you tell me what that means?

hello,
After any bleed or inflammation in brain we will see some changes in CT and the word encephalomalacia signifies softening of brain. As the time goes on the softening increases some times and as you are already under control of your doctor and at present you are fine so dont worry much about it.I can give you more details if you come up with more history.Thank you.
