Finger Went Inside Vagina While Bathing. Is Hymen Broken?

Hi, i was having a shower today in the evening(at around 7.30p.m.) and my finger suddenly went inside my vagina.. Not the whole finger... one inch of my finger went inside and i am scared if i broke my hymen. it's bleeding right now(9.30 p.m). but i'm not sure if it's because of that because i got my last period on March 15th. Please tell me if my hymen is broken.

Hello and welcome to HCM,

Hymen is a thin membrane present at the opening of the vaginal opening.
Any trauma can cause the hymen to rupture.
This trauma can be form of any foriegn body insertion or some jolt.

However, you have rule out the menstrual blood flow.
If the bleeding continues for long, is associated with symptoms of menstruation like dysmenorrhea; the bleeding is due to menstruation.

The bleeding due to hymen rupture is self limited.
It will stop after some time.

Thanks and take care.
