Fibroid Tumors. What Can Be Done? Wait Until Menopause?

Im a 48 year old women i was told by my doctor that i have 4 fibroid tumors, which is why i have heavy menstrual cycles. I would like to no if i have them remove can they possibly reappear at another time, i should i just wait until menopause to start which i was told by my gynecologists could help them to shrink? debbie

Thanks for writing to us.
If you are not having so much problem with fibroid tumours you can wait until you achieve menopause as your gynaecologist say but you have heavy bleeding you can take medication for that.
