Fallen From Stairs, Blurred Vision, Hot Sensation In Feet But Feels Cold. Worried
My son fell down the stairs last night. Couldn t see for 3/4 of an hour. Went hospital. Sent him home and he slept well. Woke up had a little breakfast and was sick. Took him back into hospital and they think he has a sick bug as all other signs are normal. But he just said his feet are hot. Soi took his socks off and they are freezing!! They ve sent him home. He seems fine but I m worried.
Following a fall from the stairs one can sustain head injury. If the hospital staff did not find any signs warranting intervention they sent you home. However, the following symptoms and/or signs need medical intervention:
1. Headache
2. Vomiting
3. Drowsiness
4. Abnormal movements including blurred vision
As the second visit did not reveal any abnormality I suggest that you can wait for a few hours more as your son "seems fine". In case any of the above symptoms occur then do take him to the hospital again.
I hope I have answered your query to your satisfaction.
