Done Laproscopy For Endometriosis, Taking Contraceptive. No Periods But Have Cramps. How To Manage Pain?
hi my name is natasha and i am 17 years old i suffer from endometriosis. I was diagnosed a year ago and went for an operation called a laporoscopy. i also started using an contraceptive to stop my period. the problem im facing today is that i have no period meaning no bleeding but i do still get severe cramps. i have used every pain tablet on the market and nothing is working. Last month they detected fluids in the pockets of my ovaries caused by the endometriosis. my question is does the cramps mean i have to go for an laporoscopy again? and how can i manage the pain?
Usually by using contraceptive pills the endometrial tissue will shrink. But as you are having constant pain and endometriotic cysts in ovary, you may need surgical intervention again. The mode of management mainly depends on the size of the cyst. If the size is more than 4cms usually surgical treatment is recommended. But intensity of the symptoms are also decide the mode of management.
