Dog Jumped On Lower Right Floating Rib, Heard A Crack Sound. Is It A Rib Fracture?
Our dog jumped onto and off of my girlfriends back the other day using her as a spring board. She is a 70 lb dog and landed on her lower right floating rib and the other paw by her kidney . She thinks she heard a crack and it was very hard for her to breath evenly, however there is no swelling or bruising , should we be concerned that the rib fractured or cracked?

But even if the rib is fractured, Nothing special but only painkillers are required.
X ray should be done to confirm the diagnosis.
