i got bit by a dog on my cheek yesterday.they said the dog was vaccinated.i am not sure if it passed the first layer of skin.one on my cheek seems deep.it bled for some time.i cleaned it with cold water,applied alcohol n then covered it with a band aid.i constantly repeated the procedure.today mornin my wound seemed to be closing up and i oozed out some of the pus and repeted the same procedure.i feel slight numbness on the area.what should i do?

If the pet is already vaccinated than you dont worry at all. but every vaccination is not 100% safe. also you received the wound on head neck portion which is very dangerous area to get the rabies. you should think of rabies vaccination of your own. taking the vaccination is not harm to you, even it do not cost much to you. and for your wound it is in the healing position right now. initial numbness of the wound is normal thing. so do not worry at all. but think of vaccination of you. Do not manipulate the wound repeatedly because it will create a path for rabies virus to enter into the wound and nerves.
