Does Seasonal Cold And Cough Needs Inhaler?

My husband is 26 year old. He gets cold and cough whenever there is a change in the season. As per doctor s suggestion, he underwent pft test and it said Mild Obstruction. One doctor has said he does not have asthma but has mild congestion and that might be due to seasonal change and the other doctor said he has mild asthma and suggested to use inhaler(pump). Do you think he really needs inhaler ?

Hi,

Since PFT is indicative of obstruction use of inhaler can help to relieve breathless and is also a clinical test whether he has asthma or not. If inhaler helps then to continue as and when needed.
Use of oral bronchodilators and steroids in short course from time to time when needed will help further. Antihistamine is the mainstay of treatment in such allergy.
