Does Low Levels Of Testosterone Indicate Presence Of HIV Infection?

I had pre-existing gout and afer a sexual encournter 8 years ago, I experienced severe gout which travelled from one foot to another. I have not been tested for HIV in 8years and have no other symptoms of HIV though recently my Trigliceride levels are elevated,. I have been taking lipitor for 12 years and my Trigliceride levels suddenly jumped up,. I also have arthritis in my back which was seen during a corony angiography CT scan which siad there was 0% calcium depoists in my heart vessels. I am concerned that I might have HIV and have not known about it for 8 years. I have had no other symptoms except being overweight, prediabetic, with high cholesterol. My triglicerides jumped from 1.5 to 12.5 in a matter of 6 months. This episode 8 years ago involved unprotected sex but the sex partner at the time insisted he was HIV negative. My testoserone levels are low which is consistent with HIV patience so I am beginning to become concerned. What do you reckon?

Low testosterone levels are not indicative of an HIV infection. You do not mention your gender or age, so it may be the testosterone is at a normal level for those. You have other significant medical problems that are more likely to contribute to the low levels and cause the changes in your triglycerides. However, HIV may not cause any symptoms for years, so I suggest you get tested for it.
