Does Late Period Sign Of Pregnancy?

Hi, Im Divine and I just want to ask about my situation, I was diagnosed with a PCOS and i didnt got my period for 5 months so I went to my ob and gave me Meprate 10mg for 5days. I took from April 27,2014 and my last day is May 1,2014...so now it s 11 days already and no periods yet...but yesterday I just tried to get HPT and i got faint positive.. am I pregnant???what does this mean? I called dmy OB and I still need to wait till Tuesday next week for appointment as here in Europe needs to be on appointment..and now this really torturing me..please help..thank you

Hi,
Withdrawal bleeding occurs 3-7 days after completion of the hormone treatment. If you have performed the pregnancy test using all the precautions and if the test kit is a standard one, then your doubt is justified. You should cross-check with the estimation of the serum beta-hCG titres since this is a better way of confirmation/exclusion of pregnancy. You can also have a trans-vaginal sonogram to know the status of the pelvic organs. Hope you find this information useful. Take care.
