Does Jalra M Tablet Have Any Side Effects?

i am a type 2 diabetic and my blood sugar is 145 fasting and 151 pp. I am taking following medicines for the last 3 years. None of my family members are diabetic. Jalra 50 mg - 1 tab each morning and evening before food Azulix 1 mf - 1 tablet morning and evening before food Neurica M 75 - 2 capsules daily after dinner Fibrovas - 1 tablet after dinner Ecosprin 75 - 1 tablet after dinner One month ago Dr prescribed Jalra M tablet in the evening instead of Jalra 50mg as he said my fasting sugar is high compared to pp. Even after one month the sugar level is same as earlier. Havn t seen any change and more over now my sugar level is 175 fasting. Are these the correct medicines for me?? Is there any side effects?? is there any substitute for these as it is expensive. I have no cholesterol. Why Dr. prescribed fibrovas???

Hi,

Jalra M contains both metformin and vildagliptin which is a combination of two medications that control high blood sugar levels in people with type 2 diabetes mellitus. This helps prevent serious complications of diabetes like kidney damage and blindness and may reduce the chance of having a heart attack or stroke. Side effects of Jalra M are nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach pain, loss of appetite, dizziness, headache, trembling, hypoglycemia, metallic taste, heartburn, swollen joints, chest pain, belching etc.

Substitutes for Jalra M are Zomelis Met, Vysov -M, Vilsure M, Vilcure M, Vilshine M, Nugliptin M etc. Jalma M is a combination medicine of metformin and vildagliptin which is more effective medication than Jalra contains metformin only. So, your doctor has prescribed the best medications for you. You should consult your doctor as your blood sugar has yet not been controlled.

Fibrovas contains both atorvastatin and fenofibrate which is used to lower the levels of lipids known as cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood when lifestyle
changes on their own have failed. This medication helps to reduce the risk of heart disease. If you think, you take Fibrovas despite of normal cholesterol level then you should consult your doctor in this regards.

Take care. Hope I have answered your questions. Let me know if I can assist you further.
