Dizziness, Hearing Loss, Told To Stop Using Salt. Meiener Disease?
I had a few episodes of dizziness a few months ago, I'm now suffering from hearing loss. My left ear has like a static noise driving me nuts. The ENT specialist says it may be meiener decease and that I can't surgery. She indicated that I stop using salt on everything...which it's nearly impossible...even orange juice contains salt..what do I suggest I should do?
hello dear thanks for your query at HCM meieners disease can present with dizziness, hearing loss, tinitus. salt taking can aggravate menieres disease 1 avoid smoking if any 2 low salt diet as far as possible , no added salt , salt intake should not be more than 1.5 to 2 grams per day 3 avoid excess intake of water 4 avoid coffee and tea 5 avoid stress 6 take good bed rest 7 in acute attack take prochloperazine your doctor might have said no extra added salt not complete stop tnem regards
