Discomfort In Inner Upper Corner Of Eye, Swollen, Mild Pain. Immediate Treatment To Get Rid Of Swelling?
Yesterday night I noticed some discomfort in the inner upper corner of my left eye. It almost felt like i has a bruise inside my eye. I went to bed because I thought it'd relieve it, but when i woke up it had swollen up. There is no redness but the pain is still there. It isnt severe pain but when i shut my eyes a bit harder than usual it hurts. Medical care is more expensive for me as I am an international student so I wouldn't want to have to go to the doctor unless it was absolutely necessary. Is there any way to get rid of the swelling quickly as I have a job interview tomorrow morning?
you description fits that of an early stye... which is an infection of an eyelash root. If it not possible for you to consult an ophthalmologist, you can start with : 1. Tab Combiflam twice daily after meals for three days. 2. Tab Ampi CLox (500 mg) thrice daily for five days (after meals) 3. Zymar eyedrop four times daily. 4. Warm compress with wet warm cloth 2 -3 times daily. I assume that you are an adult and that you are not allergic to any medications. In case you are allergic to any medication, you must consult an ophthalmologist before starting any medication. regards, Ajit Hazari.
