Difficulty Swallowing Food. Chest Pain. Acid Reflux. Had Laryngitis. Suggestions?

Hi Dr. I had laryngitis a month ago and although the laryngitis is gone, I still have the feeling that something is stuck in my throat. I have difficulty swallowing my food, and I have chest pain that has become increasing worse over the past few days. It feels as if I have a ball stuck in my throat and also have acid reflux more often than before. I am concerned as this pain in my chest along with the other symptoms are not going away. I went to the pharmacy and the pharmacist suggested that I have a sore throat and gave me an anti-bacterial spray. Can you please advise as to what I should do in this regard. I am a 27 year old female. Hope to hear from you soon.

Hello & thank you for posting on HCM.
I feel your symptoms are suggestive of gastric reflux and you will need to try antacids ( some of them like gaviscon/ gellusil/ ranitidine are available from chemist)
If suppose after trying above medications regularly for 1 week you are still getting same symptoms continuously then I suggest review with ENT specialist / upper GI specialist who will be able to offer you endoscopy in order to look out for any pathology causing obstruction.
Hope you feel better soon
Thanks again
